Evony Alliance Tactics

Being a part of an alliance while playing Evony Free Forever is a must for people over 50k prestige.  When your prestige is near the 50k mark you will be gathering a lot of resources and possibly have 2 cities.  At 50k prestige, the problem you have is your army won’t be that big, so it won’t be easy to defend your towns.  This will make you look like a TARGET.

You will look even more like a target if you are by yourself.  That is, you don’t have an Evony Alliance to back you up.  So when people are scouring the map for someone to attack, and they see your juicy city with no Alliance label on it, then you will look alone, and vulnerable.

To join an Evony Alliance, you need an embassy.  It only needs to be level 1 to join someone elses alliance.  It will need to be level 2 if you want to create your own.  Joining another alliance is a great way to start out.  You have a couple of options on picking an alliance.  One way is to watch World Chat and wait for people advertising for new members.  This is a sure-fire way of getting into an alliance if you fit their requirements (over 20k prestige, over 30k, etc.). 

Another other way is to do some research!  Go through the alliance information, the button for which is on the bottom left of the screen.  Find an alliance that is not full, 100 members is full, and then do some research into what size the members are.  Have a look at all the members and the range of prestige for their members.  You won’t get into an alliance that has members from 100k prestige and upwards if your prestige is only 20k.  Once you find an alliance which fits your prestige level you can mail the leader of the alliance, or just apply to join that alliance.  I would do both to let the leader know you are interested.

The third way to join an alliance is to find someone nearby who is in an alliance and chat to them.  If you chat to them for a while, you might be able to slip in that you would like to join their alliance and could they ask their leader if it would be ok.  This is a great way to Switch Alliances.

Once your in an alliance, you should join their Evony Alliance Forum where you can chat to other members, share kill stories and strategies for attacking barbarian towns.

You can chat on the Alliance Chat window which replaces the World Chat window.  Talking to other members is the best way to ask for help, ask for resources or troops.  Let them know if you’re being attacked by someone else and where your city is that is being attacked.  Alliance members can help other members, but communication is the key!

Once you’re in an Evony Alliance you can join your other members in WAR with other alliances.
