Evony People

One of the great things about Evony Free Forever is the people playing.  Its a shame that each Evony Alliance can only hold 100 people, as I don’t think 100 is enough.  200 might be better, but 200 might get into the realms of being able to take over a country and hold it against all the other alliances.  This sounds like fun until you realise that you won’t have anyone to attack anymore!

So you’ve got these 100 friends online at various times – it is a world-wide game remember, and everyone is different.  Some people might play a few minutes a day, and be online in Evony for a short period.  Other players might have an Evony browser open all day and watch the Evony Alliance chat constantly.  Some people might stay up late evony night, others might login to evony in the morning before going to work.  These people can help you reinforce your towns when you’re being attacked.  They can send you food or other resources to help your building or feed your troops.

One thing I’ve noticed while playing Evony is the other people playing aren’t what I expected.  There are a lot of older people playing and even a lot of women playing, which is quite refreshing.  The people that have the dedication to get their Evony games up to the top are usually NOT kids!  There are actually not many kids that play Evony.  I think this is because kids these days don’t have the concentration to play a strategy game.  Evony has often been called a MMORTSG, Massively Multiplayer Online Real Time Strategy Game.  I think this is the main reason why kids don’t play it.  It requires some time dedication and what most kids lack these days – patience!

Kids these days would rather play a playstation or x-box or some other console.  They don’t know computers, or don’t want to use the keyboard.  So the hard-core gamers of generation X and generation Y can play online strategy games like Evony Online in peace, without kids getting on and getting bored so doing random stuff and ruining it for the real Evony People.
