More Evony Comments

I’ve done Evony for only about 4 days and have advanced in Prestige to 6 digits and about 3/4 of the way up in standing and rank. My city is well developed and I was planning a second city, though there isn’t a clear way of determining just how to go about things sometimes. Especially as the game progresses, you really have to be able to think for yourself and figure a lot of things out… which for me is mostly fine. I have enjoyed Evony a great deal so far. There was a day earlier this week when I couldn’t log in, but then it came back online… until today. It’s been 5 hours and I can’t log in no matter what I do. It goes to a screen with the Evony logo and it says “loading” and yet never loads. My city was under “truce” status through the night and by now has come out of it, so I’m sure if I ever get on there again, everything will likely be wiped out. I probably will just blow it off and not bother. I did notice that, despite careful planning and figuring out how to manage resources, expansion, etc… and doing everything right to create a thriving, ongoing city, players can reach a point where the game fakes them out. It seems if you’re advancing too fast, population and loyalty can decrease without any reason and nothing you can do, short of depleting resources every hour to prop up your stats will stop the decline. If you’re working a game correctly, there should be some measure of success relative to your efforts… perhaps not running in first place, but a positive result rather than a negative one for working it the right way. In any event, after today if I still can’t get online I will just quit… nothing bugs me more than internet things that are ureliable.

I gave evony a good run and enjoyed playing for awhile. But the fact of it is.. they need to make their money and there are tons of people willing to spend their money to be one of the best in a game. It’s done all over, no different here. Really starts ruining the gameplay when your up against players that spend thousands. I got up to 5mil prest with over -50mil troop upkeep.. Just isnt worth it tho, become more like work than a game. As with anything I suppose. But from a ‘experienced’ evony player.. you will only be as good as the time you are willing to invest, and time is money. Nothing is free, nothing.

Well the only reason I’m typing is because I have to wait 145 hours till Archery lvl 10 and 1 hour 39mins tilll Academy lvl 9 But I swore I wouldn’t ask my Dad to spend but I’m getting more addictive so I’m thinking of getting my Dad in the game then he might offer. But really you shouldn’t spend anything get a life it’s a bloody GAME!

tbh evony is a total rip off claiming tht its a free game, yet you have to pay for practually everything otherwise the game is just a mission, you even have to pay to chat in the world chat box, how pathetic. Evony is run by money grabbing con merchants, all they care about is the money, not the game play, free forever my fucking arse!!!
